It should be noted that yesterday India released the Hurriyat leader of Occupied Kashmir, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, after keeping him under house arrest for more than 4 years. After his release, he delivered the first Friday sermon and led the prayer at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar.

In a video that went viral on social media yesterday, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq can be seen drinking water during the Friday prayer sermon. On this occasion, thousands of worshipers gathered in the mosque to see him and a large number of people also raised slogans in favor of freedom.

During the sermon, he said that this period of my detention and separation from my people has been the most painful for me since the death of my father, during which he also became depressed.
